We all went grocery shopping together over the weekend. While we were there, Wilson wanted to buy me some flowers. While we stood by the plant/flower section, Ally had the idea to buy baby Maggie some flowers for her grave. She also insisted that she pick out what flowers Maggie should have. We thought it would be a neat way for Ally to "give" or show love to Maggie and her parents, so we let her pick out some flowers. She was beaming of just the thought that she could do this for Maggie (whom she still prays for every night) It was really sweet.
Later that day, we got in the car and drove to the cemetery where baby Maggie was buried. We let Ally lay the flowers on her grave, said a prayer and took some pictures.
On the way back home, I remember thanking God for Ally's sweet heart. I also remember praying for God to give us wisdom to know how to foster and treasure her heart, since it seems
like such a huge responsibility for us as parents.
I wanted to do this post so that Ally can look back on this and remember how compassionate and loving she was even as a 3 year old! We love very much, Ally.
