MAE-isms

The girls have really made Wilson and me laugh lately the way in which they pronounce words or butcher phrases. So, I decided it was about time to record them before I forget them.

Be forewarned, a lot of them are in German and won't be funny unless you are fluent in German!

Emi-
English:
ater ater means see you later alligator
Snug snug means snug as a bug in a rug
any football team that Emi sees playing on TV are automatically the Razorbacks!
Little Citter means Little Critter
Curious Dorge is Curious George

German;
dosse means grosse
dut means gut
armband means gummiband
angerling means andere
tomen means kommen
tatze means katze
tom her, Mama! means komm her, Mama!
Metterling means schmetterling
Pitze means spritze

Mia- Old McDonalds means McDonalds
Salagna means Lasagna

Ally-
English:
"You can't catch me, I'm the ginger-ale man!"

German:
Schwerdeschwanz means Pferdeschwanz
...because he didn't pass auf
Gefruehlschrank means Kuehlschrank
Prinzesserin means Prinzessin

I literally read "because he didn't pass auf" three times trying to figure out why this was a funny Ally-ism. Yes, I finally realized the phrase was half English, half German. I guess it's nice that I'm still bilingual enough to not have caught that right away!
